PRIZE WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT and News!
August was a busy one here at the gym. Big news--> We are moving (but not far!) both our own home AND the gym. The lead up to the move has meant lots of interesting movements and disruption!
It has also meant a disruption to our regular routine. In fact, just yesterday I realized that one of my shoes was at one house, and the other was at the old house. I had to Drive with 1 shoe on to get my other shoe!!
Changes can be disruptive to your movement routines, but that disruption can also mean an opportunity to be INTENTIONAL with the NEW routines and movements that take place of the old.
One very distinct example for us has been eating breakfast in a new spot. Our new house has almost no furniture. We've been meaning to try out a lower breakfast table that helps us sit in a low squat position for a while, so we've taken the opportunity to try out a side table as our breakfast table, stretching our low squat position with very very low chairs for resting in the squat position. So far, I have loved it! It checks off the '6 minutes of hip mobility' First thing in the morning.
September tends to have CHANGE built in. From return to school to cooler mornings, it is DISTRUPTIVE and also an AMAZING OPPORTUNITY to sneak some adventure ready movements into your routine!
